The shore changes as you move around Tisno. Jazina offers a bay and pine shade; Rastovac combines paved bathing areas with recreation; Sveti Andrija follows a rockier edge beside a coastal walk. Choose the setting before packing the bag.
THE TISNO FIELD GUIDE
Three shores, three different days.
| Beach | Shore & setting | Choose it for |
|---|---|---|
| Jazina / Jazine | Pebbles, stone and sunbathing platforms beside the campsite. Pine shade and listed shower, food and sports facilities. | A settled beach afternoon with pauses in the shade. Confirm seasonal campsite access and facilities; the centre and the bay are separate parts of town. |
| Rastovac | Predominantly paved shore with a smaller pebble section beside the Hostin complex. A café and recreation areas are listed nearby. | A swim combined with a café stop or activities. Check which sports facilities are operating and assess the entry before children go in. |
| Sveti Andrija | A rocky shoreline with a concrete sunbathing area and surrounding pines, at Tisno’s southeastern edge. | A coastal stroll followed by a swim. The adjacent promenade and educational sea trail give the visit a different pace; expect rocky rather than sandy entry. |
These comparisons describe the setting, not guaranteed supervision or accessibility. The photograph above shows nearby Kosirina on Murter; the three beaches compared here are in Tisno.
Read the shore before you swim
A picturesque waterfront is not automatically a bathing area. Around the bridge and moorings, boat traffic matters. Choose designated swimming areas, respect local signs and keep clear of navigation channels and harbour activity.
Pebbles and rocky entries can make water shoes useful. With children or less confident swimmers, assess the entry and depth yourself; calm-looking water does not guarantee a shallow or supervised beach.
Make a wider island day
Murter Island offers other beach settings beyond Tisno. Pair one swimming stop with a village visit rather than attempting a checklist of coves. Check the exact route, access and parking before leaving, especially in high summer.
Leave the coast as you found it
Carry away everything you bring, including cigarette ends. Stay on established paths and leave marine life and shells in place. A quieter morning or late afternoon can be more pleasant than the hottest part of the day.
